TeleCirc is down
for maintenance every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Call
staff at 789-7124 if you need assistance during these hours or logon to
review your library record.
TeleCirc is your
library’s automated telephone information service. It provides you
with an easy way to manage your library account from home, most hours
of the day, 7 days a week, over the phone.
By calling TeleCirc
you can:
- Review a list
of materials out on loan
- Renew items you
have out on loan
- Cancel items on
hold
- Find out if you
have fines.
- Record your name
for TeleCirc to use next time it calls you.
When TeleCirc
places a call to you it will:
- Inform you of
overdue items
- Inform you when
items on hold are available for pick up
If you have Caller
ID, TeleCirc will not be able to contact you.
When will TeleCirc
call me?
TeleCirc will call
you about items we’re holding for you, or items that are overdue on
your account. When TeleCirc calls you, it will leave a message for
you to call your local library. You can call Telecirc back at 789-7162.
Before a message
is delivered, the automated voice will identify itself as the Library
and give the name of the person for whom the message is intended. After
acknowledging that you are the person for whom the call is intended,
you can hang up at anytime during the message.
If you can’t be reached,
TeleCirc will try your number again five times. If you can’t be reached
after 5 attempts, a mailer will be sent.
If your call is received
by an answering machine, the message will be delivered to the machine. The
message is repeated two times. When TeleCirc calls you, it will leave
a message for you to call your local library. You can call Telecirc
back at 789-7162.
When
you call back, please check the holds and overdue options in the main
menu to check why TeleCirc was calling.
How do I call
TeleCirc?
To use TeleCirc dial
789-7162. To access TeleCirc please have your library card number and
PIN.
Have your library
card ready, and if you are renewing specific items, have them with
you as well. Using a touchtone telephone, dial 789-7162. After the
initial welcome message, you will then be prompted to enter your La
Crosse Public Library barcode and then press the # sign. You will
then me prompted to enter your PIN followed by the # key. Next, you
will hear the Main Menu.
The Main Menu
Options are as follows:
- Press 1 to renew
items.
- Press 2 to list
items on loan.
- Press 3 to list
or cancel items on hold.
- Press 4 state
your current fines.
- Press 5 to list
your overdue items.
- Press 6 to record
your name.
- Press pound (#)
to repeat these options.
- Press star (*)
to exit.
When are Renewals
Not Possible?
- Item has reached
its maximum number of renewals
- Item is on hold
for another person
- Item is a Interlibrary
Loan title or other special item on which renewals are not permitted
- Limit in fines
has been reached
