We have many resources available for use at the Library, and we encourage the public to make a site visit to make the greatest use of these materials.  However, the Archives & Local History staff will, as time permits, conduct research for a fee, but our first priority is to serve our in-house clientele and residents of the Winding River Library System (Buffalo, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau & Vernon counties,
Wisconsin).

There are limits as to the types of research we will take on. For out-of-state residents, there is a research fee. In all cases, there are reproduction and postage costs.

Area Researchers

A list of area researchers is also available who will do extensive research in and beyond the Library's resources.  The following persons have expressed an interest in doing La Crosse area genealogical research for hire.  These people are not employed or supervised by the Library in any way, nor does the Library vouch for the quality or thoroughness of their research.  Contact themdirectly for more information.
