Calling all middle and high school students—we’ve got a great volunteer opportunity for you this summer at the library! If you like working with children and other teens, are a quick learner and consider yourself the responsible type, then we want to work with you as part of our teen volunteer program. Teens help Youth Service staff at all of our programs for children and teens at the library during the summer and we aren’t exaggerating when we say that we couldn’t do it without our volunteers!
It's spring break for many school kids and we are here for you at the library. Besides all the great books, CDs and DVDs for check-out, we also have some marvelous DIY and stealthy programs that you can do while spending time with us!
Teens - Spring Break Challenge - bust your brain on these book related trivia clues - you may win a B&N gift certificate.
Elementary School Kids - Diary of a Wimpy Kid Craziness - design a book cover for the upcoming book and try a scavenger hunt. Earn a Mom buck!
We missed self-check almost as much as you, but today, it returns! Here are a few new things you'll need to know: 1) You'll need to have your library card to scan. There's no keypad to type in your number. Check-out will help you ( and tell you how much it helps us when you bring your card) if you don't have your card. 2) To print receipt, you'll need to "sign out." 3) You can now view and cancel your holds from self-check; and 4) You can now view your checked-out items AND renew materials. Pretty spiffy! Thanks for your patience.

Trying to remember if you read that Amish romance murder mystery (with a red cover) already? If you'd like to keep track of what you've checked out, you can turn on Reading History in your account. If you turn this feature on, it will save any future items. Here's how you do it: Log into your account from the catalog. Select the Reading History tab on the left side of the screen. Click on "Save Reading History."
