Can you believe it's August already and that we're seeing precious packets of seeds coming back from you? It's time to watch your garden every day so that you can select the very best seeds to return. My lettuce is flowering, my cumin seeds are browning, my Zinnias are full of butterflies and the zucchini is delicious.
In response to city-wide budget cuts, we have introduced a plan to keep both branches open by reducing hours and services. Today, Tuesday, August 5, is the first of three community-wide listening sessions, where members of the library board and administration will be available to take questions and suggestions and listen to your concerns. Many of you already know that the library, as part of the city, is facing deep budget shortages in 2015. We have introduced a plan to keep both branches open, albeit at reduced hours and services.
