"It is amazing how imagery starting from different origins, goes through a digital maze, finds its way into my hands, and ends up on a piece of paper." -Cody Bartz

Cody grew up in northern Minnesota, in the town of McIntosh, population 665. He was raised in the countryside with cats and cattle. At a young age, he enjoyed writing the words "Chicago Bulls" and "Michael Jordan," along with drawing the Bulls logo. He studied graphic design and visual arts. He still calls the fields and forests of the Midwest home. He has "art" in his name, which must be a good sign!

Artist's Statement

"I have a love for technology and a passion for art. I have a growing interest in combining the two. Screenprinting has become my medium of choice. For me it combines the technical abilities of the computer, and the handmade qualities of printmaking. My work focuses on merging of images, a collage of sorts. I enjoy taking old and new images and recyclying them, finding new meaning for them. I enjoy giving these images a fresh visual look as well as a new interpretation. It is amazing how imagery starting from different origins, goes through a digital maze, finds its way into my hands, and ends up on a piece of paper."
