You've come to the right place for computer assistance and information. The La Crosse Public Library has many wonderful resources to learn new technology skills and update those you currently have. Find new materials, assistance and a whole lot of great links to boost your computer savvy.

HIGHLIGHTS

Computer Classes at La Crosse Public Library are Back!
La Crosse Public Library offers an ongoing series of introductory computer classes. These classes are designed to give participants the basic skills required in the modern day work environment. Classes meet in the basement training room at the main library. Participants must have minimal experience using a computer mouse and keyboard.

June 2013 Schedule:

  • Tuesday, June 4th, 10 am-12 pm: Introduction to the physical computer and the Windows® operating system
  • Thursday, June 6th, 10 am-12 pm: Microsoft Word 2010, part 1
  • Tuesday, June 11th, 10 am-12 pm: Microsoft Word 2010, part 2
  • Thursday, June 13th, 10 am-12 pm: Microsoft Excel 2010, part 1
  • Tuesday, June 25th, 10 am-12 pm: Microsoft Excel 2010, part 2
  • Thursday, June 27th, 10 am-12 pm: The Internet for beginners

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have additional questions, please contact the Reference Desk at: 789-7122.

Local Computer Assistance:

Western Technical College Employment Services 
(You may be able to hire a Western Technical College student to give you one-on-one computer help for a fee. Call the WTC Employment Office (785-9440) and ask them to post a job request on their Student Job Board. Method and amount of payment will be worked out between you and the student.)
