Braintrack University

Braintrack is a worldwide university index on the Internet with over 5,300 links to higher education institutions in 152 countries. The site contains Internet addresses of universities, polytechnics, colleges and other higher educational institutions all over the world.

CollegeNet

The site claims to be the #1 portal for applying to college over the web. You can search for colleges and scholarships.  It will let you complete, file and pay for the admissions applications entirely on the Internet.   Free registration is required to fill out college applications.

College View

College View offers a college and scholarship search.   It also a test prep center, virtual tours, a financial aid office, and more.

GradSchools

GradSchools is a directory to over 50,000 graduate programs throughout the United States.  There is also articles about getting into graduate schools and what to expect once you are there.

National Center for Education Statistics

NCEDS provides College Opportunities On-Line which is your direct link to over 9000 colleges and universities in the United States. The site provides a snapshot of a particular college with essential information such as tuition and fees, type of institution, and important phone numbers.

Peterson's

Peterson's is the first stop in looking for college and scholarship information. Using Collegequest section, you can search colleges and universities and apply online to find scholarship information. Collegequest does require free registration.

Princeton Review

Princeton Review is another great starting place. This site is well designed to help you look for college & university sites, scholarship information, graduate schools, and lifetime learning. It does require free registration if you want to apply online and to acquire scholarship information. It does not list any University of Wisconsin System's or University of Minnesota System's colleges.

Students.gov
This is a clearinghouse of information for students with a heavy emphasis on education and careers, focusing largely on federal government web sites.

U.S. News & World Report Education

This site is the leading authority for college and scholarship information. It covers a wide selection of opportunities to explore: colleges, community colleges, graduate schools, rankings and financial aid. No registration is required. A number one place to start the college search.

Wisconsin Mentor

Wisconsin Mentor is your source for information and online admission applications for Wisconsin's private colleges and universities.  You will be able to search for campuses in Wisconsin, see campus tours, and a get student-campus matching assistant. Registration is not required to use this site, but if you want to apply online, a free registration is required.
