Foundation Center

The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse whose mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects.  Grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policy makers, the media, and the general public will find this site very useful.

Guidestar

"Guidestar’s mission is to promote philanthropy by helping donors, institutional funders and charities become more informative, effective, efficient." It is a database for finding and showcasing nonprofit organizations. Each nonprofit organization’s report includes a summary of its mission and programs, goals and results, financials, officers/directors and Form 990.

Nonprofit Gateway 

Nonprofit Gateway is a network of links to Federal government information and services. "It is designed as a central starting point to help nonprofit organizations access online Federal information and services. Linked to all cabinet departments and many agencies, it contains information about grants, regulations, taxes, and other services as well as a wide variety of other topics and programs.

This site is an overview of grant writing, with sample proposal summaries, inquiry letters, cover letters, and applications.

SRA Interational Grants Web

The SRA International Grants Web includes the merged resources of the National Research Administrators Resources Network developed by Robert Killoren of Penn. State University.  This site has an exhaustive list of links. It can be a little overwhelming to the beginner, but is very helpful for the experienced researcher.

Wigrants

"The Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) has complied the Wisconsin Catalog of Community Assistance (WCCA), which lists scores of state aids and technical services offered by various state agencies."
