AlternaTime 

AlternaTime is a collection of history and culture timelines.  It includes timelines of U.S. diplomatic history, African American history, suffrage movement, Irish history, Scottish history, the Japanese invasion of Asia, the 14th century, and a wide variety of other topics.

American Cutural History: The 19th Century

"Created by the reference librarians at Kingwood College (Texas), this Web-based pathfinder guides users to resources covering 20th century American cultural history from 1800 to 1879. Divided into sections according to decade, the guide functions as a hypertextual bibliographic essay, outlining the major events, important persons, and cultural trends of each decade, and linking users to related Websites and print materials."

A series of timelines and maps covering historical events and people from prehistory to the present.  Both timelines and maps allow you to click on items for more information.
