La Crosse Hiring Network

La Crosse Hiring Network is sponsored by a local television station, Newschannel 8.  It is a gateway to the La Crosse area's top employers.  One way to search for employment is entering a keyword or a job category.  Another option is to search by company name.  The site does include information on other cities, such as Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, etc.

La Crosse Job Service provides job assistance to La Crosse County residents. The web site includes links to Internet sites for job seekers, a listing of workshops offered through Job Service, Wisconsin JobNet, labor market information for La Crosse County, information concerning labor law, and Veteran's services.

State of Wisconsin Employment Opportunities

The State of Wisconsin Employment Opportunities provides listings of job openings in Wisconsin State Government and some local governments. The "Wisconsin Current Employment Opportunities" section contains classified Wisconsin state civil service job opportunities. The "Wisconsin Civil Service Promotional Opportunities" section contains promotional job opportunities which are open ONLY to current classified employees in Wisconsin State Civil Service. The "Unclassified State and Other Public Sector Positions" section contains job opportunities with Wisconsin counties, cities, villages, towns and VTAE (Vocational, Technical and Adult Education) districts, and unclassified positions with Wisconsin State Government.

This site was done in  cooperation with Minnesota government agencies and Minnesota schools. Search capabilities for job opportunities are not available. However, resources to learn about career choices and links to sites where you can search for employment are available.
