A reference site to standardize weather-related terms used by storm spotters and forecasters to communicate effectively during storm warnings.

Intellicast

Intellicast has 10-day forecasts for U.S. cities and international cities.  It also offers current conditions, hourly forecasts, satellite and radar images, forecasts targeted to outdoor activities, and recreational information.

Live From the Storm

Live From the Storm provides a glimpse into the weather and the people who study it.  It includes biographies, the science behind the weather, and scientist's field journals.

Meteorology Guide

The Meteorology Guide is a collection of web-based instructional modules that use multimedia technology to explore weather.   The modules included are:  light and optics, clouds and precipitation, forces and winds, air masses and fronts, weather forecasting, severe storms, hurricanes, El Nino, and the hydrologic cycle.

Monthly Climatic Data for the World

"This site "contains monthly mean temperature, pressure, precipitation, vapor pressure, and hours of sunshine for approximately 2,000 surface data collection stations worldwide and monthly mean upper air temperatures, dew point depressions, and wind velocities for approximately 500 observing sites. The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) keeps you updated on the latest weather issues and concerns.   You can read the latest weather news, track storms, find the current weather conditions, learn about the oceans, get real time satellite imagery, and find information about fisheries, climate, research, coasts and charting.

National Climatic Data Center

"National Climatic Data Center is the world's largest active archive of weather data."

National Weather Station-La Crosse

National Weather Station-La Crosse includes information on hazardous weather, local weather, rivers, and historical weather data for the region.

Time Temperature

Time Temperature reports the latest weather conditions and offers time zone information for the United States and Canada.

Utah Climate Center

The Utah Climate Center has daily records for at least 5,000 locations spanning the globe, with some records dating back to the 19th century. Data is current, usually to within six months, so we'd recommend it for data dating before the early 1990s.

Weather Underground keeps you updated on the latest weather conditions.  A great place to look for historical weather information.  It contains records from 1994-to current.
