The Internet Modern History Sourcebook contains a wealth of information concerning world history.  It offers primary sources, maps, articles, essays, and other links to web sites to explore the vast history of the world,  from the Reformation up through modern popular culture. 

World History Archives

The World History Archives is an Internet directory arranged by region:  the world as a whole, Asia and Oceania, the Americas, Africa, and Europe.

Asia & Oceania

Asian Studies WWW Virtual Library

Asian Studies is a collection of Internet links to related resources concerning Asian History.   It includes links to Asian societies, politics, economics, histories, and cultures.

East & Southeast Asia

"This directory is intended to be a window on the rich Internet resources on East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Asian Americans."  It includes a variety of political and cultural perspectives have been included.

Encyclopedia of the Orient

"The Encyclopedia of the Orient is a one-stop online resource which covers all countries and cultures between Mauritania in the west and Iran in the east, Turkey in the north and Sudan in the south."  The Encyclopedia contains original material and is updated on a weekly basis.

Internet East Asian History Sourcebook

The East Asian History Sourcebook is an examination of the history and culture of east Asia.  It offers articles, maps, links to other web sites, and primary documents concerning the history of Asia. It includes a look at cultural origins, religion, imperial Japan,  Japan as a world power, and much more.

Eastern Europe since 1945 is part of the Internet Modern History Sourcebook written and maintained by Paul Halsall.  It compiles web pages, primary documents, and articles on Eastern Europe including the Soviet Union/Russia, Albania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and Romania.

The Department of History, University at Albany, SUNY has developed a resource directory covering the history and culture of the Middle East.

Internet African History Sourcebook

The Internet African History Sourcebook covers African history from ancient to modern times, It links to secondary source material, primarily articles on various topics and also to other web sites.

The Middle East North Africa Internet Resource Guide

The resource guide is a collection of web sites regarding the middle east and north Africa.  "This guide was created to serve the needs of scholars, students, and interested individuals in finding and using internet resources dealing with the Middle East. In this document the Middle East is defined as broadly as possible. It includes: Mauritania in the west, Pakistan in the east, Somalia in the south, and Central Asian Republics in the north."

MidEast Web-Middle East Peace Process Historical Background

This web site is a collection of historical documents concerning the peace process in the Middle East.  It also includes links to a timeline which depicts the history of Palestine/Israel since early times, how you can understand the Middle East, and a bibliography of the Israel/Palestine conflict.
