You know there are great resources on the web for your students, but you might not have time to wade through all of them.  Let us help you! We hope you'll use our library-based and linked resources in your classroom.  We're happy to partner with you as you are starting kids on their path to becoming lifelong learners!

LPL Kids Homework Help Section:  Library and web resources are available on subjects for elementary aged students.  The majority of the library databases can be accessed by students from home with their library card. 

Homework Help for Teens:  Our amazing Reference staff has compiled links and resources for middle and high school students for intensive research or improving skills!

Request Classroom Materials: Are you preparing to do a topic in your classroom and need books for your students? We can help!

• We can provide up to five items per specific subject requested.  Although we would love to provide a book for every child in your classroom, we have many requests for the same books and subjects from other teachers, families and children and need to "spread the wealth". Holiday and seasonal books may have a smaller limit; our staff will inform you of this when you make your request.
• We ask that you limit requests for materials to once a month.  If you group your subjects together, we can provide you with a full month worth of materials!
• Please give us a minimum of 48 hours notice before you need to pick up the material.
• Books must be picked up within the week or they will be replaced in the collection.
• Although we are unable to pull specific titles or books by specific authors, we are more than happy to assist you to find these when you come into the library.

Kids.gov : Find extensive information about the government and other recommended kids sites.  Resources are grouped by grade level. 

Discovery School : Get lesson plans, games, and other materials to bring science to life in the classroom.

PBS Teachers: Find classroom resources grouped by grade and subject matter, including games and web-based videos. 

Library of Congress Teacher's Website: Bring primary resources into the classroom.  The LOC offers many digital collections, professional development opportunities, and lesson plans.
