A Feast of Gentle Reads contains a variety of books broken into categories such as: British literature, romance, American literature, faith, inspiration, Christmas stories, and animal stories Gentle Reads is compiled by the Salt Lake County Library in Utah. It includes gentle reads for general fiction, mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy, and non fiction. This site has organized mysteries into categories including: ancient world mysteries, Regency/Georgian, Medieval mysteries, Victorian mysteries, Renaissance mysteries, postwar mysteries, 1900-1919 mysteries, 1920's mysteries, 1930's mysteries, and 1940's mysteries. Soon's Historical Fiction is a web directory to other historical fiction web sites. It includes links to authors, booklists, book reviews, collections of historical fiction, etc. Dark Echo offers a variety of information about the horror genre. It includes links to authors and publishers, other horror sites, a newsletter, and book reviews. An archive of crime and mystery fiction reviewed by Marilyn Stasio since January 1997, arranged by author. You might need to register with New York Times web site before entering the archive, but it is a free registration. This site has organized mysteries into categories including: ancient world mysteries, Regency/Georgian, Medieval mysteries, Victorian mysteries, Renaissance mysteries, postwar mysteries, 1900-1919 mysteries, 1920's mysteries, 1930's mysteries, and 1940's mysteries.. The Mysterious Home Page is a guide to mysteries and crime fiction on the Internet. The links are divided into categories such as: specific authors, specific characters, themes in mystery, fiction, awards, etc. The Mystery Reader offers the latest book reviews for various types of mysteries, including police/detective, thrillers, suspense, cozy mysteries, historical mysteries, romantic suspense, etc.. Stop Your're Killing Me reviews the latest mystery and suspense novels. The Tangled Web UK offers a comprehensive digest of crime, mystery, and fanastic fiction books published from 1996-2001. It includes book reviews, author profiles, news and events. Famous Science Fiction/Fantasy Authors This site is a directory to links on award-winning science fiction and fantasy books. It also includes lists to the greatest sci-fi novels, authors, book reviews, and more. The Fantasy Finder is the place for finding fantasy book reviews and other fantasy web sites. Locus Online is a science fiction/fantasy web directory to science fiction/fantasy news, reviews, authors, e-zines, e-publishers, awards, bibliographies/database, conventions, etc. Scifan is a directory to science fiction series, so you can read them in order. The SF Site includes book reviews, opinion pieces, author interviews, fiction excerpts, author and publisher reading lists, plus a comprehensive list of links to author and fan tribute sites, SF conventions, SF TV and movies, magazines, and much more. "Uchronia is an annotated bibiography of novels, stories, essays, and other material involving the 'what ifs' of history. Such texts may also be called as alternative histories, allohistories, uchronia, counterfeit worlds, counterfactuals, negative histories, etc." Ultimate Science Fiction Web Guide The Ultimate Science Fiction Web Guide is a collection to over 6000 links to science fiction resources. Oraph by Amazon.com offers quick easy access to the books that currently are or have been a part of Oprah's book club. This site is the official homepage for Oprah's Book Club. It includes information about past books and recent selections, discussion questions, and excerpts. The Romance Reader offers book reviews for romance novels which are broken down into historical, contemporary, Regency, category, and time travel/fantasy. Romance Reviews Today offers reviews of the latest romance novels on the market. Romance Writers of America is a non profit organization for the romance industry. This site is a resource for romance writers. It includes award winners, bestsellers, links to authors and publishers, history of the genre, etc.
