U.S. Department of Commerce's Census web site is the place to find the latest information about the 2000 census.  It also contains data from the 1990 census.  You will find statistical information about people, businesses,   geography, news, and special topics.

The US Census has released the Census 2000 Supplementary Survey data, "the most comprehensive and detailed data on American families in 64 cities across the country today."

Health Data (for 20 counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa)

The La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium has developed a web site that provides health data for 20 counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Here you will find data on health indicators (accidents, cancer, heart disease, infectious disease, maternal and child health, mental health, susbstance abuse, and other health behaviors) and cenus data.

KidsCount

"KidsCount has compiled indicators of child well-being from the 2000 U.S. Census and created an interactive online database."   You can find information by the geographic areas, by rankings, by raw data, or you can view summary profiles.

U.S. Historical Census Data Browser

The U.S. Historical Census Data Browser "describes the people and the economy of the US for each state and county from 1790 to 1960."  This site is made available through the University of Virginia and Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research.
