Begging or panhandling for money or anything else is not allowed on library property. Randomly handing out literature to people on library property is also prohibited. Selling or soliciting for charities is not allowed on library property. Soliciting signatures for a petition is not allowed in the building, but it is allowed in front of the library public entrances so long as they do not interfere with others' use of the library. You may not leave petitions for staff or patrons to sign. We do, on occasion, allow outside groups to have a temporary presence to promote an issue that is of general interest to the community.
