Teen Volunteer Meetings
Do you enjoy helping others and you like working with children? Then please consider being a teen volunteer at La Crosse Public Library this summer! Teen volunteers assist with a wide variety of activities in relation to the summer library program. Two informational/registration meetings will be held in May: Wednesday, May 15 & Wednesday, May 22, both from 6:30-7 p.m. at the Main Library. Please plan on attending ONE of these meetings if you would like to be a teen volunteer this summer.
Jack Gantos is Coming to La Crosse!
Jack Gantos, the Newbery Medal-winning author of Dead End in Norvelt, will be reading selections from his books, answering questions and signing books on Monday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Logan High School. You won’t want to miss this unique event!
Wisconsin Hometown Stories: La Crosse
In honor of Mr. Gantos’s visit and Dead End in Norvelt, come and explore this history of La Crosse with stories of early Native American settlement, evolving industrial climates and the ever-present spirit of the rivers on Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m at the Main Library.
