JUNE IN-PERSON PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS

  • Storytime for Adults: Are we there yet? June 8th, 6:30pm
    Offsite: Weber Center Terrace

    Storytime for Adults is back! Join us June 8th from 6:30-8 at the Weber Center for our first in-person edition in over a year! Adult beverages will be available for purchase and  Taco Town will be providing delicious eats! Registration is required and masks are requested.   • Courtyard Chapters: Saturday, June 12th, 10:00am
    Join us Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the library's charming outdoor "secret" courtyard for a discussion of Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Register via our events calendar, emailing lschoen@lacrosselibrary.org or by calling 608-789-7130 to reserve your spot.

  • Maker Mondays: Saint Andrews St.: May 3 - August 30 (will not meet July 5)
    Choose your session 10-11am or 11-12 pm
    Join the fun in getting your mind and hands engaged with crafts.  During this open maker time, bring a project to work on or stop in and try your hand at something new (resources might be limited).  COVID-19 protocols will be in place - masks required, social distancing and occupancy limits will be in place. 
     
  • Chair Fitness: Session 2: Tuesdays 10-11 a.m. June 15 - July 13
    Have fun exercising while sitting in a chair.  Chair Fitness will get your heart pumping and your body moving.  Chair Fitness if for all ages and all fitness levels.  You should consult your physician or other healthcare professional before starting this or any other fitness program.  Registration is required. COVID-19 protocols will be in place - masks required, social distancing and occupancy limits will be in place. 
     
  • New Device Drop-In: Saint Andrews
    Did you recently get a new phone or tablet? Have some questions about it? We will be available at the new the St. Andrew Street Center to help you navigate your new device!  Please make sure your device is charged and that you have your passwords handy.

  • 06/28 Facebook Tips and Tricks (11:00 AM @St. Andrews)
    Depending on class interest, we could cover unfriending vs unfollowing vs snoozing Facebook friends; where to find memorialization settings; and/or the easy way to go through your privacy settings. Bring your questions! 

 

JUNE VIRTUAL PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS

  • Mindful Makers: Mindfulness Stones: Thursday, June 17th, 7:00pm
    Join us for Mindful Makers, a program series integrating creativity with mind and body wellness.  During this session, we'll be painting stones with encouraging affirmations and images to help us stay present.  Craft supplies will be provided and registration is required to participate in this online program.  Register using the LPL events calendar, or by calling Heather at 608-789-7125 or emailing

  • B.Y.O.B. Bring Your Own Book (Club): Thursday, June 24th, 7:00pm
    B.Y.O.B. (Club) is a non-traditional book club for adults. Instead of reading a predetermined title, participants meet online to share what they’re currently reading and pick up new recommended reads.  Whether you can’t wait to talk up your new favorite title or just want to listen to the conversation, all are welcome to join!  Register via our events calendar, by emailing hmiller@lacrosselibrary.org or by calling Heather at 608.789.7125.
     
  • History Club: Sunday, June 27th, 2:00pm
    History Club is a forum for exploring La Crosse’s history. Our goal is to collectively build, share, and preserve knowledge about our community’s past.
