The La Crossse Public Library will initiate the first phase of its reopening plan beginning on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Since our primary focus is the safety of our users and staff, we are limiting the number of people in our public spaces at any one time and scheduling in-person services. Our course of action is continually evolving as conditions change, in order to expand access to library services.
Beginning on Tuesday, May 26, the Main library will open to the public for scheduled access to computer and printing services, Monday-Friday from 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm.
This access is by appointment only. Patrons can make those appointments beginning Tuesday, May 26 at 10am by calling 608.789.7122 or emailing email@example.com.
Patrons are asked to wear a mask and are encouraged to stay home if they are ill or experiencing symptoms.
Access to our collection will be by staff only though continued curbside services. All staff working with the public or materials will be wearing personal protective equipment.
Scheduled curbside pickup, returns and phone service hours at Main are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and weekends 1pm-5pm.
Scheduled curbside pickups and returns at the North Community Library are Mondays 10am-12pm and Thursdays 1pm-3pm.
Scheduled curbside pickups and returns at the South Community Library are Monday 1pm-3pm and Thursdays 10am-12pm.
Join us at 9:30 AM every Monday from September 9 - December 2, 2019 for a series of lifelong learning for ages 50 and better. Each week we'll hear from a different local expert on a wide variety of topics.
The auditorium will be open right at 9 AM. Come early to save your seat and enjoy social time with free coffee and treats!
On Monday, October 14, we'll be joined by UW-L Professor Emeritus Les Crocker for a presentation on buildings in the historic La Crosse Business district.
