Our September reading will be Animal Farm by George Orwell, in support of Banned Books Week. A unique partnership between the Pump House, The La Crosse Public Library, and UWL’s Murphy Library, 'P.S. Let’s Talk - From Page to Stage' is a series of evenings of thoughtful listening and conversation based on scripted play readings. Doors open at 6:30 PM, Performance starts at 7:00 PM and will be followed by a moderated discussion of the play's themes and how they relate to our world today. This event is free and open to the public.

*** Beginning Thursday, June 25***
- Per instructions from the City of La Crosse, all City of La Crosse staff and visitors are now required to wear a mask or cloth face-covering that covers their mouth and nose when inside a City of La Crosse building.
- Patrons requesting materials will now receive electronic or phone notification that their items are available. Once a patron receives their hold notification, they can come to the Main St. Library to pick up their items during our current hours: Mon-Tue; Thu-Fri: 10am - 6pm; Sat: 1 - 5pm.

The La Crosse Public Library is collecting impact statements that may be useful in demonstrating the collective value of our public library to community members and other stakeholders.
