Join certified yoga instructor Bernice Olson-Pollack for this free community yoga program encouraging gentle body movement for all ages, abilities and walks of life.  Each class will explore basic yoga poses, yogic breathing, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques surrounding a different topic each month.

On Saturday, Oct. 16th, we'll explore the topic of body awareness and balance.  Proprioception enables us to know where parts of the body are located in space. Knowing where the body is in space is essential for balance. There is preliminary evidence that a regular yoga practice can help improve balance. It enables us to know where parts of the body are located in space.
