We are seeking a motivated applicant who has a unique array of talents and experience to support our Library Business Services office. Do you love to place online orders for everything from cleaning supplies to glitter? Are you excellent at notetaking and detail work? Maybe you also love grant writing and fundraising-a key component of the work this team will focus on in the coming two years. If so, consider this new challenge! We will be considering your flexibility, enthusiasm for learning, collaborative interest in library operations overall, and willingness to work with a wide variety of staff and patrons.
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they can perform every job description task. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job and that candidate may come from a variety of backgrounds and lived experiences. If you're interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role, even if you believe you do not meet all the hiring criteria described above. If you can see yourself in this position, so can we!
