Event Details
Open Streets is a fun and family-friendly street event located in Downtown La Crosse. A portion of Main Street starting at the public library will be closed off from 1-4 PM to allow for bikes and pedestrians. Enjoy food, music, stories, painting, yoga, a pet parade and more on this historic stretch of downtown.
The Main Street Library will be providing a wide-variety of activities during the event on our front plaza, including a collective public art project.
Purchase a paint pot for a $1 donation to the library and help us color in four large mandala banners, which will go on temporary display at the library following the event.
The Friends of the Library will also be hosting a sidewalk book sale with select used hardcover fiction from their first floor book shop on sale for 50% off.
Look for the Cloudy's food truck and the Taco Town food cart, plus a special acoustic performance from C. Schell Music.
This free community event is presented by the Wisconsin Bike Fed, the Mayo Clinic Health System, and Gundersen Health System, with support from Downtown Mainstreet, Inc., the La Crosse Public Library, and the City of La Crosse.
